Shannon Hoppenstedt

I’m Shannon Hoppenstedt, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering remote psychotherapy to clients in California, Colorado, and South Carolina. My approach integrates depth psychotherapy and psychoanalytic perspectives with EMDR, Internal Family Systems–informed work, and somatic awareness. My path to psychotherapy grew from over 20 years as a registered nurse, where I witnessed how deeply emotional experiences affect the body. This inspired my passion for helping people process emotional pain, support their physical well-being, and build a more authentic relationship with themselves. I work with people navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, medical trauma, PTSD, and complex PTSD. I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic preparation and integration. My work is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity, bringing mind, body, and spirit together to support healing, wholeness, and lasting well-being.
