Jennifer Lowe

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and board certified clinical art therapist. I earned my masters degree in marriage and family therapy and clinical art therapy from Loyola Marymount University in 1996. I served as a trainee at Northridge hospital medical center in both the intensive day treatment and inpatient psychiatric programs that specialized in children and adolescents. I also received training at the HELP group working intensively with severely emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and their families. Following graduation I began my work with Pacific Clinics, the largest non-profit mental health agency in California. I was part of a team that founded a school based intensive day treatment program, and founded the clinical art therapy component of the program. For over ten years I served as the program director for the day treatment intensive program in Pasadena, California. In my private practice I see children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. For over twenty years I have worked with families in divorce/custody, parenting, co-parenting, parental alienation and parent child reunification. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and their families with a variety of social, emotional and behavioral difficulties in the home, school and community environments.My treatment approach is to help individuals and families improve their challenges and life transitions. I work to build authentic and trusting relationships with each individual and family that I work with. I take a comprehensive approach to working with children and their parents as a whole. I incorporate creativity through self expression while working toward solution focused results.
